SeaWorld Orlando is the thrill flagship of the SeaWorld parks: Mako, a 200-foot B&M hypercoaster with real airtime; Kraken, a floorless looper with seven inversions; Manta, a flying coaster whose queue passes a real ray aquarium; plus the newer Ice Breaker launch and Pipeline's standing surf format. Five coasters of that quality in one marine park is a genuine Orlando anomaly.
The park's rhythm is the show schedule layered under the ride lineup — the orca presentation, the dolphin theater and the sea lion show pace the day exactly as the rides do, and the queues for both rise and fall together. The interleave is the skill: Mako during the dolphin show, the aquariums during the heat, the coasters again at dusk.
Zone names are approximate clusters as at every SeaWorld — the parks don't publish hard land boundaries. What is not approximate is the park's position on the Sea-to-Sky corridor: twenty minutes from the Disney property, ten from Universal, and a genuinely different park from either.
The park's separately-ticketed fall haunt runs select nights in late September through October and is one of Orlando's three major Halloween events alongside the Disney and Universal parties — this site covers all three parks' haunts.

The morning is worth double
Between the queues and the Florida storm pattern, the first two hours carry the day. Rope-drop Mako and the corner; let the afternoon be shows and aquariums by design rather than default.

The third-pole play
Ten minutes from Universal and twenty from Disney, SeaWorld is the Orlando day-trip that isn't a Disney day. Pair it with a water-park morning or an evening at CityWalk for the full non-Disney day.
