The Beginning is Legoland's front door: the nine-foot brick giraffe, the Big Shop, and the entry plaza where every visit starts with a photo. It is deliberately calm — the park's design philosophy keeps the excitement past the gate.

Guest services, stroller rental and the model of the park itself live here. It is also the exit through the Big Shop, which is the park's most effective funnel and a budgeting conversation worth having before entry, not after.

Do not miss

  • The giant brick giraffe
  • The entry plaza photo spot
  • The Big Shop (budget accordingly)

The Beginning tips

  • Set the souvenir budget at The Beginning, not at exit time.
  • The park model near guest services is the best orientation tool.

Coastersaurus

Any height

Roller coaster · 2 min

The dinosaur wooden family coaster — small drops through a prehistoric forest of animated brick dinosaurs.

Coastersaurus is the park's family woodie, threading a landscaped 'prehistoric' forest with animated LEGO dinosaurs alongside the track. The drops are small and the speed modest, but it rides like a real wooden coaster scaled down — the rattle, the structure, the feel — which is exactly the point for its audience.

Tips for Coastersaurus
  • Ride after the Dragon in the rope-drop window.
  • Back row is noticeably more coaster-y; front row is the dinosaur-view seat.
  • The queue passes build tables — pick up a brick project for the wait, drop it at unload.

NINJAGO The Ride

Any height

Interactive game · 4 min

The gesture-controlled dark ride — throw virtual fire at screen villains without touching anything.

NINJAGO The Ride is a dark interactive ride whose controls are gesture-based: riders wave their hands at screens to launch attacks, tracked by sensors rather than physical blasters. The technology still feels novel, and the scoring competition gives it repeat-ride life.

Tips for NINJAGO The Ride
  • Big gestures score better — commit to the ninja performance.
  • Indoor and cool: the heat-peak slot.
  • Ride the left side of the vehicle — the sensor tracking reads big gestures marginally better there.
